Huda has already taken physical possession of the land. A team including estate officer, chief town and country planning officer, architects and engineers is working on the project.
''There is a possibility of around 2,000 residential plots in various categories, initially we had planned 1,700 such plots but 300 more plots can be carved out,'' said a source.
Sources said, earlier Huda had targeted to launch the plot scheme in March but it could not materialize. A number of land pieces were under Litigation Act that caused a delay in the development plan.
Officials maintaining they are targeting the next month as deadline for the launch of the scheme. ''We are going to complete the layout design within next week, but it will take some time to examine the possibilities of commercial and institutional sites. After this we will start carving the plots and inviting applications from aspirants,'' said, R K Kataria, administartor, Huda, Panchkula.
